Cookie Policy
Effective date: 16 June 2026 · Last updated: 16 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how IMC Media PTY LTD (Registration No. 2019/502353/07), trading as ReportLab, uses cookies and similar technologies on reportlab.co.za. By using the Service you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, work more efficiently, and to provide information to website operators. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your device.
2. Cookies We Use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session |
Essential | Keeps you logged in and stores temporary state (e.g. OAuth flow, flash messages) | Browser session / 31 days (remember me) |
remember_token |
Essential | Keeps you logged in between browser sessions when "Remember me" is selected | 31 days |
We use only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies on our own platform.
3. Third-Party Content
Some pages load resources from third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — loads the Inter typeface. Google may log the request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Plotly CDN (cdn.plot.ly) — loads the chart rendering library. No cookies are set by this CDN.
- PayFast — when you proceed to checkout you are redirected to PayFast's hosted payment page. PayFast sets its own cookies on their domain. See PayFast's Privacy Policy.
4. OAuth Cookies
When you connect an advertising platform (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X), our session cookie temporarily stores OAuth state parameters to complete the secure authorisation flow. These values are cleared from the session once the connection is complete and are never stored as persistent cookies.
5. How to Control Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the Service, as it is essential for authentication.
